LS doesn't have an actual dialog that shows that the serial is invalid, it just reverts to behaving as a trial. Your preferences will show that you are licensed, but you'll have to restart the program every three hours.
If the result of this command is empty (no error message is shown), the file is intact and properly signed by Objective Development.
